The Galleries at Quiet Waters Park - Holiday Artisan Market

 I was invited to showcase my baskets at this year's Holiday Artisan Market at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis MD.  The gallery is open through January 6, 2024. It is a beautiful location to visit if you have never been there.  You may want to treat yourself. 

Gallery of Gifts - Carroll Arts Center

 This year my display featured baskets woven with the rib technique.  This included egg baskets, hen baskets, melon baskets, key baskets and potato baskets.   

Fall Holiday Craft Shows

 November ushered in a busy season of holiday craft shows.  I took part

 in more shows than I usually do, but it was a fun time and it certainly got me into the holiday spirit. Thank you to all who purchased from me.  

I participated in the Carroll County Artist Studio Tour the first weekend in December.  It is always a fun time.  I visited with many old friends who stopped by. 

Festival of Wreaths

 

I donated a wreath to the Festival of Wreaths again.   My entry was a wooly pine bough with wool pinecones attached to a tobacco basket.  I learned to make the pinecone and pine branches from Mary Annunziato.

Odyssey Weekend ..... September 14 - 17

The Central Pennsylvania Basket Weavers Guild held its annual weaving convention in Gettysburg, PA this past September.

Over 100 basket enthusiasts spent the weekend weaving baskets, renewing old and new friendships and having a wonderful time together.

I took two classes under the instruction of Mary Price.  I wove the "Farmhouse Chic" and the "Confetti" basket with her.  I love the bright colors of the confetti basket. 

Saturday, I assisted in the one-day class for "newbies".  Everyone was able to complete as natural apple basket with jute handles.
